Overhead Hardware, a division of Donlouco Limited, is an Irish-based supplier of premium quality parts for use in power transmission and distribution. We combine the cost efficiency of manufacturing in China with the reassurance of European testing and standards compliance.
Overhead Hardware have been supplying overhead hardware to the utility sector here in Ireland and Europe for more than 12 years. During this time we have established a reputation for excellent price performance, with a quality control record that is second to none. We provide customers with access to our global supply chain and manufacturing capability, assuring all aspects of product integrity, from raw material right through to delivery and installation.
We are fully ISO certified and EN 1090 approved for CE marking of parts. Components and assemblies are supplied to meet all of the EN standards for the utility sector and in the case of transmission line components and assemblies these are made fully compliant to EN-CEI-IEC standards and tested in accordance to EN-CEI-IEC standards.
History
Donlouco was originally formed in Asia in 2002 but in 2006 moved its headquarters to Cork, Ireland. It originally operated as a mechanical design and manufacturing services company for the supply of components to the utility sector but has since grown and evolved into a manufacturing-based company in China with a network of sub-suppliers local to the manufacturing site.
Regional Engagement Structure
The entire business is controlled from Ireland, as we believe that for reasons related to time zones and language, customers in Europe cannot be served efficiently from China.
Our expertise lies in this intersection of communications, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain management. Our Irish-based engineers work with customers to develop an exact understanding of requirements, quite often surpassing what can be explained in a drawing or specification. These precise nuances are then communicated directly to our manufacturing partners in China.
Information Management
Effective communication is the cornerstone of our success. We have developed “best in class” management tools to control the entire business through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. These systems integrate quality control documentation, drawing control and inspection/test methods to manage the delivery of sample parts and scheduled orders to customers in Europe. In terms of language, we can communicate at business level on pricing, financial terms and delivery schedules etc, as well as communicating at a very precise technical level. This ability to realise real and effective change to materials, design and manufacturing is one of the main selling points of our service.

We have worked tirelessly over the years to build the team of engineers, managers, production operators and quality control staff which allow us to excel in the delivery of goods and service to its customers here in Europe. We are fully ISO certified and EN1090 approved for CE marking of components and has built its reputation over the years as a reliable supplier of high quality and competitively priced components. We provide access to a global manufacturing capability in China which completely de-risks customers while improving on price and quality, allowing customers to perform with confidence in the market place. In the case of transmission line components and assemblies, these are supplied on full compliance with and tested to EN-CEI-IEC standards.
